• Received a call from a "web design" company - strong east indian accent and poor english, sounded like it was a call centre. The guy was EXTREMELY rude and trying to sell his services to my company, called repeatedly after i said no to the services and was very unprofessional. He used words like "stupid" to describe our web site...I couldn't believe it! I had to threaten to call the police to get him to stop calling. yikes!

      this is not a SCAM... This is a legit company who sells extended car warranties and been doing it over 20 yrs.
      You clearly work for the scam artist...this is probably the same Javier that I spoke to and doesn't know how to scam successfully and efficiently. Get an actual job and work! Do something with your life and put an end to it!

• I just received a Telemarketing Call from Fisher Investment. (Caller ID 650-350-5950) 1. I did not "opt-in" for the call so your firm violated FCC Regulations. I am filing a complaint with the FCC. 2. Your telemarketer would not provide me with your average return since 2000, when he refused to give me the information I asked for his supervisor. His supervisor would not give me your average return since 2000. I have filed a complaint with the SEC. Your telemarketing supervisor was rude to me and very condescending and said " we can give you our returns if we meet in person". That told me that your company has something to hide if you cannot tell me your track record on the phone or at least send me to a webpage with the track record on it. What is your average return since 2000? Can any executive of your company give me that information? Failure to give prospect/client current average returns is in violation of SEC Regulations and California Law. Illegal telemarketing practices and misleading information in order to set appointments and defraud senior citizens must stop!

• Hola que tal trabaje en telnor y bestel y ya tengo ubicado a esos hijos de su p m, del numero 55 50 15 52 00, son personas asociadas con gente que trabaja en banamex que les es vendida una base de datos incompleta de toda la republica mexicana, y su SCAM (metodo para enganchar a la gente) es el de dar un estandar de actuacion pero MUY mal hecho, y si uno les contesta mal encarado se ponen nerviosos, continuando con la descripcion, son gente del DF que se dedica pendejamente a tratar de sacar datos con empresas ficticias o que muchas veces si existen pero no tienen relacion directa con banamex en cuanto a proteccion de tarjetas o cuentas y si bien te va, te hacen cargos a tu tarjeta, si no, te hacen llamadas de estorcion haciendose pasar por gente de los Zetas o Cartel del Golfo, les comento que la policia federal ya tiene cartas en el asunto, saludos.

• Habe Ende Januar 2011 diese Nummer auf dem Festnetz-AB gehabt. Zu hören war etwas, dass sich anhört, als ob zwei Personen sich sich kurz absprechen, dann eine Waffe durchgeladen und direkt darauf ein Schuss abgegeben wird. Von der Qualität so als ob jemand nicht merkt, dass er ausversehen (z.B. mit Handy) eine Verbindung zu jemandem hergestellt hat.

• Hi @ all, about +442032892491 it's a skype connection and it's a sms sendet with skype. better: with an unspecified skype account. i've found it with good luck: i'm located in Germany. i've sendet a sms with my skype to my friend downstairs. I was logged in on a apple Macbook owned by a friend with his mobile stick and sim card. the installed skype is not specified. on my home computer skype send my real mobile number, because i've changed it long ago. but here it sends +442032892491. my friend shows it some minutes later. I'm sure, most of senders are friends of you, using skype for sms. If a skype user doesn't change his sms preferences, it will always show this number. that's the way for all bad guys... the message for all skype users is: 1. check your skype account, when you use sms. 2. if you change the computer... 3. change your preferences on skype too (by using sms) 4. or tell your name at the end off the message Good luck @ all

• 01379870428 Called me today. An Asian Woman called. She asked 'Can i speak with the home owner' I replied and said 'Yes, Speaking' She then went on to try and sell me wall cavity installation. I told her firmly 'i am not interested just as i told you 2 days ago!' The women then became very defensive 'Why are you not interested!?' She then hung up. I have various numbers call me at home and i work shifts which sucks cos it wakes me up. Oh and i normally have 2 to 3 answer messages a day left while at work with just the sound of office people chatting. I registered with TPS but never got any confirmation i only did this last month but we shall see. James

• I received a call on my cell today stating that I had won 2.5 million dollars from 1-876-578-8980. I was instructed to go to Wal-Mart or CVS Pharmacy and purchase a $250.00 Money Pack. I was instructed to scratch off the code and call them back with the number. Of course once they get that code, that money pack is theirs. They told me that tomorrow at 2:30 a television crew would arrive at my house to deliver my f2.5 million dollars and I would appear on national television. I was also told by my caller that he was a Christian and that he was a preacher of God's word. He told me that God has blessed me and my family. I know God has blessed me because He has give me the knowledge to recognoize when I am being scammed. I am so thankful I have the common sense to investigate this number further on the internet and find out that there have been other people who have received these same calls. Our government needs to get this stopped and fast.

• Just got called from this number this morning. The caller asked for my wife; I told them she wasn't available. They asked if I were her husband (yes), then rattled off the name of his company (I didn't catch it), and told me they were trying to collect a debt from a Lane Bryant credit card for over $700. The caller spoke with a very heavy accent -- Indian, I believe -- and there was a lot of background chatter, like from a call-center cubicle-farm. Raise one flag. Yes, we had a Lane Bryant card. No, we never made purchases that could come close to that amount. So, I asked for an itemized history on this account, so that I could see how it got there. The caller told me those records were deleted. My first thought was "Is their hard-drive full?" Raise flag #2. We bandied back and forth about this for a few minutes; he wanted to know how I wanted to pay, I wanted more information. He finally volunteered to pass me to a manager (NOT a "supervisor"). There was a pause of perhaps three seconds before someone else was on the line. Raise flag #3. I've worked in call centers before. Unless there has been a lot of complications, and the supervisor has been waved over in advance, they are NEVER available that quickly. So, this 'manager' asks me if my wife's social ends in ####. No attempt to verify my identity, and he didn't ask ME to supply the info. Top those three red flags with one massive, streaming, crimson banner. At this point, I told the 'manager' that he made a big mistake. He didn't know who I was, and if I happened to know my wife's birthplace and date of birth, he just gave me everything I needed to have her full social security number. He asked me, "Are you her husband?" I replied, "As far as YOU know." The 'manager' was clearly sounding nervous at this point. Go ahead and put a spotlight on those red flags. In fact, add sequins. I told the 'manager' that I preferred that any future communications between us be via the mail. Rather than ask for me to verify our mailing address, he started saying "Fine, fine, okay, okay". At this point, I just hung up. My take on this? This is a big scam. These guys have a little personal information on her, and tried to bring up a company that is very popular amongst women -- I mean, what woman HASN'T bought something from Lane Bryant in the past? (The fact that they're now "Woman Within" nonwithstanding.) I'll be looking into this more thoroughly, see if I can find out what's really going on here.

      I found out yesterday that my dad bought Rosehip Extract from these cowboys who call themselves Sanda Wellness - it only came to light yesterday when I checked his bank statement. He has severe memory problems and cannot remember purchasing these tablets, and doesn't know that the tablets have arrived. Mum has hidden them as we don't know whether they will affect the current medication he takes for his heart. I guess that in this day and age we're all used to cold callers, however when they prey on elderly and vulnerable people I get really angry. How many pensioners can afford £150, which is the amount Dad paid for 300 Rosehip Extract tablets? Especially when I checked on the net earlier today and saw the price they should be sold for. One website was selling 180 tablets plus 180 free for just under £15, and the strength was 2000mg (Dad's ones are 800mg). Dad paid 10 times that amount. Even though I can't ascertain the conversation and agreement Dad had with this company due to his memory problems, I have lodged a complaint with Trading Standards purely due to the amount they are flogging these tablets for. More worrying is where the hell did they get Dad's details from, and how do they know he has joint/mobility problems? VERY VERY angry. I hope this company gets closed down before they rip off any other vulnerable and elderly people. KP
